Summer travel softball is a more competitive season in relation to spring rec. Depending on the amount of interested players, tryouts may be required. The season runs from mid-June through the first weekend of August with 2 week night games and one practice per week. Players are no longer grouped with players in the grade, but the birth year instead. Abington participates in the South Shore Summer Softball League which consists of U-10, U-12, U-14 & U-18 age levels.

For U-8 players and younger, we offer a developmental summer coach pitch program which plays against and practices with surrounding towns.
